We’re open this summer!

The Blackpit Beer Garden will open every weekend on following days & times:

Friday Session 1: 4 – 8pm (all of August & September)
Saturday Session 1: 12 – 3.45pm (last Saturday session of the year - 5th September)
Saturday Session 2: 4pm – 8pm (last Saturday session of the year - 5th September)

The Blackpit Beer Garden (between the taproom & lake) will be laid out with a grid of tables. Some in the open, some under the cover of a large tent.

Tables seat a maximum of 6 people, although are most comfortable with 4. All tables and guests need to be pre-booked in advance with a non-refundable booking fee of £6. This fee guarantees your table for the session and contributes towards the additional facilities & staffing needed to open in this ‘new-normal’ manner: sanitising stations, additional toilets, toilet attendant, outside bar infrustructure, additional staff, disposable glassware, etc. etc.

There will be an outside bar serving a range of cask Blackpit along with Gin, Prosecco, Wine and soft drinks. Street-food will be on offer too and this will change from week to week, see more details below. Drinks & food will be served in single use recyclable containers to help maintain a clean & safe environment for staff and customers. There will also be outside toilets with an attendant cleaning them regularly.

There will be 2 metre distancing lanes set out for all queuing, whether that’s for the toilet, bar or food. There will be various sanitation stations. Whilst the Government is allowing a 1 metre distance in certain circumstances its preference is for 2 metres, so we’re going with that as much as possible. Between sessions tables will be cleaned down with anti-bacterial spray. Whilst the booking system allows you to select which table you’d like, much like a theatre, we ask that tables are not moved or joined. To help NHS Track & Trace, we need to collect the name and contact details for the lead booker and the number of people on your table.

Children are welcome but must be supervised by an adult at all times, adhering to 2 metre social distancing guidelines. Children will need to be included in the 6-person table limit. Quiet, well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times and should not be allowed to interact with other guests.

Please do not book or attend if you or a member of your group has the following symptoms:
- A high temperature: this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
- A new, continuous cough: this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
- A loss or change to your sense of smell or taste: this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal

In Summary

To open in a safe & enjoyable manner, we politely ask you follow these simple points:

- Any group can be no larger than 6 people
- Tables seat a maximum of 6 people
- Tables cannot be moved
- Respect 2 metre social distancing when away from your table (including children)
- Children must be supervised at all times; please remember this is a beer garden not a playground
- If you need some space there’s a 1km woodland walking route for adults & children
- Quiet dogs on leads at all times
- Do not attend or book if you, or a member of your group, has one of the symptoms of COVID-19: a high temperature, a new & continuous cough and a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste

Help to reduce the contact with staff & other groups by:
- Buying in rounds, using the trays provided, to limit the times you visit the bar
- Placing any rubbish in the open bins provided
- Clearing your table when you’re ready to leave

We politely ask you to work with us to ensure a safe & enjoyable environment for all our customers and staff. Although our staff are being paid, they are volunteering to work at this time. Thank you.
