A selection of the best local, national and international breweries coming together to celebrate all things beer!

The concept is simple: bring together the drinker, the brewer and the beer, all in one idyllic location. Mix in a dollop of delicious street-food, a sprinkle of great music with a beautiful lake-side view and 'voila!' there you have it... a very lovely weekend!

Rural beer festivals are great but this is slightly different. We're inviting breweries to come along to showcase their beers; meaning you both get more enjoyment from the act of drinking beer!

There'll be a mixture of great local, national and international breweries getting involved, serving everything from Real Ale to Craft Beer, from Belgian Beers to English Craft Lager. There'll even be a couple of breweries hiding in the woodland that surrounds this beautiful venue.

What's planned?

Beer + Brewery Courtyard

The heart of the festival is the Beer & Brewery Courtyard, featuring some of the best breweries you could wish to see.

Each brewery will be serving their own beer, giving you the opportunity to wander from brewery to brewery, sampling their wares and talking to their team: a really engaging environment for the beer-geek and newbie beer drinker alike!

Street food

Let's face it; food is very important!

There's going to be great street-food from artisan pizzas to wholesome burgers as well as delicious vegetarian options too. Get here early to enjoy lunch and dinner!

Secret Woodland Bar

Tucked away in the ancient woodland that surrounds Blackpit Farm, there'll be an intimate woodland bar; could there be a more intimate environment for supping a few beers?

The Not-Beer Bar

Beer not your thing? Worry not! There's a 'Not-Beer-Bar' serving everything from Prosecco to posh Gin & Tonics... even local cider. A selection of soft drinks will be available too.

Family Area

Children can come to the Festival of Beer for free and there's activites to keep them entertained all day, from free face-painting to large chalk walls to write on.

Beer Talks

Want to get really beer-geeky? We've got a room dedicated to beer talks and seminars that are all free to attend.

Details will be announced closer to the event but the talks will be hosted by breweries, beer bloggers and writers.

Live Music

As a soundtrack to the day, there'll be live music to enjoy.

High quality bands and also decent DJs playing both in the beer courtyard and close to the lakeside.

With all this fun on the menu, you're going to want somewhere to relax and get your head down at the end of it.

Luckily, on the door-step of the festival, is a campsite with hot showers and flushing loos. It's about a five minute walk through the trees and costs £15 per adult and £5 for a child.

What's included with an adult ticket:

festival glass

one free drink
